Adam Turner- Creative stylist/owner
First and foremost, I love my job. After 9 years of being in the industry I still
love the social aspect combined with the creative process of hairdressing. I enjoy getting to know a client and what they are about via a thorough consultation and then giving them a nice personalised hairstyle based on suitability and manageability. It’s the best part of my job to see a client leave my salon looking visibly happier and more confident than when they came in, whether it was me or one of my stylists who did it.
I enjoy most aspects of hairdressing and colour is an area that I specialize in. I completed Wella’s prestigious Colouring degree in 2011 and am now recognised by them as a Master Colour Expert. This
is regarded in the industry as the best colouring qualification available and it was obviously challenging but now means I am confident I can deal with any colouring challenge that I am faced with. Whether it’s correcting a home colouring disaster, a high fashion creative technique or if your simply after a beautiful natural hair colour then please come and see me!
I began my hairdressing career back in 1999 working Saturdays at a small salon whilst I was at school. Realising that Hairdressing was a career I very much wanted to pursue I swiftly began work in a salon after completing school. The benefit of this salon was that I could complete my NVQ in salon rather than go to college. This meant that I received an extremely high level of training and gave me the vital in-salon experience to go on and deal with clientele confidently and skilfully.
Since then I have studied many more advanced courses, done photographic work and entered competitions. All of these achievements have been really inspiring and given me the passion to go on and make a mark in the hairdressing industry.
Now working for Roscoe it feels great to be part of a small, passionate team where I can work on my clients in a personal and friendly environment which gives them the sort of experience they can enjoy and feel comfortable in.
My career in hairdressing began in 2004 when I started an apprenticeship in a salon. Keen to get onto the salon floor as soon as possible, I swiftly completed my aprenticeship, followed by an advanced professional qualification. Since then I've worked in both large, frantic salons and smaller, friendlier environments like Roscoe, as well as producting some photographic work. I fuel my passion for hairdressing by constantly developing my skills in cutting, colouring and styling on various courses, keeping an eye on incoming trends to infuse with my own creativity. I believe that the most vital part of a great salon experience comes in the first ten minutes, and aim to provide thorough consultations for all clients, new and regular alike (as well as an amazing haircut).
